Community Engagement
We support pioneers with ‘can do’ attitudes who break through cultural identity hurdles and status quo to provide tangible, long-term benefits for the communities they serve.
All Walks
CuriousLeaders was involved at the conceptual phase of the All Walks (beyond the catwalk) Fashion initiative that catalysed the beyond the ‘size 0’ Fashion debate and encourages people to be free to express their personal identity no matter what their size.
Debra Bourne, Caryn Franklin and model Erin O’Connor are the dynamic trio behind this brand. We have has helped them facilitate dialogue between Fashion school graduates and their teachers The idea is to go beyond sample sizes and start designing clothes for people with healthy body weights. All Walks has been personally supported by Sarah Brown and generated some phenomenal P.R. coverage over the past year during Fashion Week and cutting edge events held at places ranging from the Houses of Parliament to the National Portrait Gallery.
CuriousLeaders co-developed a business symposium on behalf of the Pachamama Alliance to help raise awareness of the interdependence of environmental sustainability, social justice and human happiness in society at large.
This organisation was initiated as collaborative exchange between the Achuar tribe in Ecuador and a group of social entrepreneurs in San Francisco. The Achuar receive legal and business support to help protect a pristine part of the rain forest. In other words ‘our lungs’. In return, they provide indigenous wisdom and connection to nature. Metaphorically speaking the vision of the Pachamama Alliance is for the Condor or bird of the South (representing wisdom) to fly in the same sky as the Eagle or bird of the North (representing technology). Ordinarily the two birds would not be able to fly together so the idea is to fundamentally co-create a better world for all. This alliance has resulted in a landmark legal triumph that gives trees the same constitutional rights as human beings in Ecuador. It has spawned innovative thinking such as the opportunity to invest in the environment by paying oil companies to keep oil at source rather than consuming it.
For the past two years CuriousLeaders have been coaches on behalf of the Creatives In residence (CIR) programme at a private members club in London.
